In response to the Kamloops Residential School discovery, we look for ways to honour and remember Indigenous children and their families who have suffered.

Students and staff at Sacred Heart School wore orange last week to show support for residential school survivors and their families.

Classes also took part in prayer services, discussions and various activities to honour the lives of the children who were recently discovered at the site of a former residential school in Kamloops.

Attached below is a letter from Superintendent Deacon Henk Luyten written on behalf of the CISVA in response to this recent discovery.

You will also find below an 'Expression of Commitment' from Archbishop J. Michael Miller, CSB., and you can listen to an interview with the Archbishop that took place on Tues, June 8th on the CBC radio show, "The Current".  The interview and the Archbishop's apology begins at 0:22:50 and ends 0:45:32
