For the first time since 1945, Valentine’s Day falls this year on Ash Wednesday. Some classes may be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, February 13. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Season of Lent, a season of penance, reflections and fasting. On February 14 ashes will be distributed at 11:00am in the school gym. Parents are welcome to attend. Mass & distribution of Ashes are offered at 9:15am & 7pm in the Church as well.
Stations of the Cross begin on Friday evenings (starting February 16) throughout Lent at 7:00pm, in the church. We are looking for school families to help lead the stations, please contact Mr. Kozack at the office if you are interested in helping out.
Father Rob Galea’s Friday evening concert is quickly approaching. Over 330 tickets have already been sold. Tickets will be available at the door. Doors open at 6:30pm. It will be a great evening of song, praise and worship.
No School February 8th - 12th: This Thursday and Friday are for the Catholic Educators Conference for Teachers and Monday is the Family Day Holiday. School resumes on Tuesday, February 13th.
Spirit Wear Sale: Spirit Wear will be on sale this Friday evening at the Lenten concert and next week after school every afternoon in the front lobby. Time to get your hoodie or dry fit shirt for running club and track and field season.

Anointing of the Sick at Sacred Heart: On Wednesday, February 21 at 9:15am, the Anointing of the Sick will be offered to all, during Mass in our church.
Tickets available for Lenten Reflection on the Meaning of the Cross with Fr Tony Ricard: Join this dynamic writer-preacher, for an inspiring Lenten reflection, Thurs, Feb 15 at Sacred Heart Church (7-9pm) Tickets are $20 and available in the lobby of the school Wednesdays and in the church after all weekend Masses. Tickets will also be available at the door beginning at 6:30pm.
Save-the-Date for the Passion of the Christ Movie Night this Lent: Sacred Heart School presents “the Passion of the Christ” movie (R-rated / 18+ yrs), Fri, Mar 9, 7-9pm in the school. Come watch this powerful depiction of the Passion on the big screen. Admission by donation. Expert Guest Speaker, David Baird, Ph.D. cand., Catholic Pacific College, will be available for discussion and to answer questions following this 2-hour film.
