Basketball season is now coming to an end; we are hosing the year-end tournaments with the Ladner schools this week. All six of our teams have represented the school extremely well, with both their skill and, more importantly, their sportsmanship. We are proud of all of you. Track and Field season is right around the corner as is Girls Soccer. I would like to say a big “Thank You” to the teachers and parents who coach and drive our children. Friday is our last day of school prior to the Spring Break. School will resume on Monday, March 26. I wish all of you a safe and blessed vacation.
School Mass Thursday, March 8: Mass will begin at 9:15. Mrs. De Sousa’s Class 2 will be serving. All are invited to attend.
Stations of the Cross: We are looking for families to participate in the Stations of the Cross each Friday during Lent at 7pm. Each family will be able to follow the lead of an experienced Stations of the cross leader. The family assists in the reading of prayers and/or a short reflection at each station. The family is not expected to be the primary facilitator of the gathering.
Student Supervision: Supervision of our students begins at 8:15am. After school we provide outside supervision until 3:15pm (2:15 on Wednesdays). Any students who have not been picked up by this time will be brought back into the school. The library/computer lab open at 8:15am and remain open until 4:00pm for children to complete homework.
Volunteer Opportunities: This year’s hosts for Confirmation, is a single stream class (Gr 6 families) so we need some help from parents in other grades to help pull it all together. Please consider helping in one of these roles for volunteer hours:

Flower designer to purchase flowers & create 2 large & 8 med arrangements for the reception (3-5 hours)
Walkathon Update: Announcing this year’s theme for the 2018 Walkathon - “Sacred Heart Superhero Dash”! Get your art supplies and creativity ready as a newsletter will going home outlining the criteria for the T-shirt design contest. Please limit your design to the 3 colours black, yellow and red and submitted on an 8 ½ x 11 piece of white paper to ensure the design fits on the back of a t-shirt. The deadline for all t-shirt designs is Wednesday, March 28.
