With a quick glance at the calendar we see that there is only a short time before school summer holidays. Children are busy in the community at dance and music recitals and competitions, the ballpark, the lacrosse box, the hockey rink, and the soccer field, to name but a few. At school we are in the middle of our track and field season. We are proud of the many experiences we are able to provide for our children here at Sacred Heart School. Many of these opportunities would not be possible without your help. We hope that you are able to join us Thursday, May 31 for our Thank You Mass and Tea at 1:15pm in the church, and let us say thank you!
Prayer Request: The grandfather of Ryan (Gr7) and Valentina Sawchyn (Gr 1) has recently passed away. Please keep them and their family in your prayers. Thank you.

Earth Book Orders (TIME SENSITIVE!):
Students and Staff at Sacred Heart School have been working hard to create a 'school book' over the past year, and now we are finally ready to publish! Many students have contributed to this book - either by adding their great ideas for the text, or by sharing their talents as illustrators. Although not every child's name is on the page(s) he or she was involved with, students will know which pages and ideas they helped out with. The final product is a beautiful 99-page book, available for families to purchase at a reasonable price!
Due to the timing of our book's completion, the ordering window for this school year is very narrow. In order to get free shipping, orders must be placed by 11:59pm, Fri. May 18th at the latest! Apologies for the short notice! The cost is $33 CDN for a softcover copy, or $39 CDN for a hardcover copy. Our school Mission's Club will receive about $5 CDN for every book ordered. Click here to see a short preview of Our Amazing Earth.
If you are unable to order now, there will be another opportunity in Fall 2018, but an added shipping cost of $5.95 (in US Dollars) per book will be added at that time. Order BY THIS FRIDAY, May 18 to get free shipping! CLICK HERE TO ORDER. Your purchase of Our Amazing Earth will help us not only to spread environmental awareness, but also to care for others who share 'our common home'! Thank you!
