The 18th Man Project
A fundraiser update written by Daniela Lamyin...
Last May, Class 6B sold homemade products to raise money for the 18th Man Project, a charity dedicated to raising money for kids in need of surgery for clubfoot.
Clubfoot is a condition in which a newborn’s foot or feet appear to be rotated internally at the ankle, the foot points down and inwards, and the soles of the feet face each other. The money went to a 3 year old boy named Isma who was born with double clubfeet. Isma is still too young to understand what has happened, but his parents and grandma are thrilled to see him start to walk with his feet in the right position. The Class 6B students of Sacred Heart have made a huge impact on this child’s life and hopefully, in the future, we can make an impact on the lives of many others.
